New Business Development Manager

SHarrisMeet Sarah Harris

Sarah joined Downtown Partnership in December as Business Development Manager. Her primary role is to assist businesses who want to locate, relocate, expand, or move downtown. Sarah can assist businesses with finding a location, understanding permitting processes, navigating city government, zoning, and other questions about doing business downtown, as well as working with new or existing businesses on sustainability and retention issues. You can learn a little more about Sarah in her interview with the Colorado Springs Business Journal.

 

New Credit Card Parking Meters in Downtown Colorado Springs

The City of Colorado Springs is exchanging approximately 882 downtown parking meters with new credit card-enabled meters.  Installation will be completed by Friday, November 1, 2013.

Judy Noyes Memorial Purchase Fund for Art on the Streets

Judy Noyes Bio Pic 001Today, Downtown Partnership announced the creation of the Judy Noyes Memorial Purchase Fund, a dedicated fund at Community Ventures, the nonprofit organization that produces Art on the Streets. The fund will be used to purchase works of public art for permanent placement on downtown streets.

New Award Honors Downtown Stars

A boutique owner, a parking administrator, and an organization dedicated to "urban interventions" were honored today by Downtown Partnership. This is the first time the organization has presented the Downtown Star awards.

Every Day video is a hit!

A new video portrait of downtown Colorado Springs was debuted at the Downtown Partnership with the Mayor on October 23, 2013 to rave reviews. Recognize familiar places and faces, and discover something new about downtown in the video, which showcases much of the great things that happen downtown, every day.

City of Colorado Springs Submits Regional Tourism Act Application

The City of Colorado Springs was the only applicant for Regional Tourism Act tax incentives this year. The proposal, City for Champions, includes four major project components, and the city is seeking a total of $201 million in tax rebates over the next thirty years.
