Downtown Colorado Springs is designated as a Creative District by Colorado Creative Industries, a division of the state Office of Economic Development & International Trade. This designation is earned through a rigorous and competitive process that measures the abundance of arts nonprofits and creative industries in a district as well as the intentional leveraging of culture and creativity in urban planning and community development initiatives. Downtown Ventures administers the creative district programming and reporting.
Every program of Downtown Ventures is supported through sponsorships, grants and donations by individuals. Through these private and philanthropic resources, Downtown Ventures is able to supplement the work of Downtown’s tax districts, the BID and DDA. To support the work of Downtown Ventures, go here..
