'Reveal' 2024 butterflies and dragonflies

One of the most anticipated events of the year is back!
Head over to the northwest lawn of the Pioneers Museum to be the first to see the 2024 garden sculpture butterflies and dragonflies created by local artists!
Music by Tim Glenn
Food trucks American Seoul Food and Cowgirl Kettle Corn & Lemonade will be onsite
Stop by and meet some of the participating artists

Five unique exhibits for September

Margaret Kasahara – Continuum
- The pieces in this exhibit were created in response to daily life and often incorporate familiar objects in unexpected ways.
Colors of Colorado: Woven by Hand
- An exhibit featuring works by Susan Bowman, Jeanne Steiner, Beverly Weaver, and Dottie Weir. Four local artists who are also friends, use handweaving and dyeing to create art for the wall.
Jean Gumpper – On the Way Back
- Jean’s work hovers between representation and abstraction and often focuses on the edges between water and land.
Judith Marie – Miscellaneous
- Judith is always collecting happy moments in her brain and watching to find the next one.
Mandy Hansen – Flutter and Flow
- Mandy’s studio practice includes watercolor paper that moves like fabric when submerged in water and translucent rice paper mounted to wood.

Gallery is open to public to view Olympic, Sports, and Landscape oil paintings by Bernard Sandoval.
Bernard Sandoval is a painter, sculptor, and mixed-media artist whose work has appeared in galleries and one-man shows throughout the southwest.
His métier – defined by bold lines, insistent colors, and lyrical subject matter – derives its originality from his cultural roots which are firmly fixed in the iron-red soil of New Mexico.

Wild Places

Denise Duker’s new work blends the simplicity of Japanese wood block prints with the spontaneity of Sumie brushwork creating a sense of uncluttered calm for her rich Colorado landscapes and wildlife images.
Love and wonder of wildlife is clearly evident in Dana Lee Stoner’s most recent works. From the fierce to the delicate, her photos display the audacious beauty found in nature.

Citizens Art Project at City Hall

Featured artist Sherrie Mitchell

Sherrie currently organizes an art group called Art Trekkers. You can catch Sherrie out on hiking trails enjoying plein air painting. Plein air landscapes are seen as abstract shapes where the essence is captured in a loose, colorful, and painterly style.

What Inkling This Time?

An exhibit of works by Toni George.
Her abstract works consist of paper weavings and of pen-and-ink drawings inspired by Zentangle© which is a process of creating designs using repeating patterns. These patterns flow and develop into unique works of art.
