Enjoy Jazz Nite at Lawrence Dryhurst Gallery presented by the Colorado Springs Conservatory along with a special exhibit by resident artist Betz Smisek on First Friday.
ABOUT THE EXHIBIT
It is said that if one creates 1000 cranes, the creator’s wish will come true. Artist Betz Smisek has created and hung 1000 handmade origami cranes throughout the gallery with a wish for peace in everyone’s heart for the coming year.
ABOUT THE CONCERT
The Colorado Springs Conservatory presents Jazz Nite at the Conservatory from 7-9 p.m. on First Fridays at the Lawrence Dryhurst Gallery. Light refreshments and beverages will be served.
The concert will feature Ian Ferguson (piano), Wayne Wilkinson (guitar), Andy Burtschi (bass), Todd Williams (drums), and Tom Fowler (saxophone). The concert will also feature Conservatory students sitting in with the pros. Free wine and small bites will be offered.

The Lawrence Dryhurst Gallery is an upscale gallery of contemporary art located in the heart of Downtown Colorado Springs. Artist-in-residence Betz Smisek describes her discipline as “relational art,” painting in glass, oil and acrylic, but the gallery also featured handmade items such as greeting cards, jewelry and hats.
