Saturday, December 16 is another fun day to come Downtown to enjoy holiday festivities!
Skatefest with Learn to Skate USA
Dec. 16, 9am-noon
Free and open to the public, SkateFest provides the opportunity for skaters of all ages to participate in free group lessons based on their experience levels. Free skating lessons will take place from 9 a.m. – noon, on-site registration begins at 8:15 a.m. (space is limited). SkateFest is sponsored by U.S. Figure Skating. Advance registration is recommended.

Live reindeer will be available at a petting-zoo style pen located in the alley between 115 and 119 N. Tejon Street. Additional activities will take place next door at Crafted Colorado, a holiday pop up shop, to include Christmas cookie decorating and including an Elf-on-a-Shelf scavenger hunt.

Free while supplies last, the Little London Wassail Society will hand out hot cups of wassail starting at 11:30 a.m. on the northwest the corner of Bijou and Tejon. This will be the 39th year of the annual tradition. The hot mulled cider is spiced by Savory Spice Shop, brewed by Jose Muldoon’s and sponsored by Downtown Partnership.
Dec. 16, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Three different strolling musician groups will entertain holiday shoppers from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. along Tejon and Bijou Streets, sponsored by Downtown Partnership. Groups include the Christmas Brass Quartet, Colorado Dicken’s Carolers, and Band Wassail.
On-street parking is free every Saturday through Christmas! Another easy option is the parking garage at Bijou and Cascade…costs less than a meter on weekdays and only $1 for all day weekends.
