downtown holiday stroll

December 5th, 5-8 pm

Join us for one of Downtown Colorado Springs favorite traditions, the 2018 Holiday Stroll. Local store owners are offering extended hours and many will have sales, special offers, and refreshments while you shop.  Stroll our beautifully lit Downtown, enjoy familiar holiday tunes from strolling carolers and musicians.

SANTA BONUS! Catch a glimpse of Santa doing some shopping and spreading holiday cheer. He’ll be armed with a Polaroid, so be sure to get your keepsake photo!

NEW for the holiday stroll:

The Downtown Partnership will host two warming stations at either end of our shopping district featuring two of our favorite Downtown coffee merchants. Sample a complimentary warm beverage and delicious treat as you take a moment to get toasty under our patio warmers.

Make holiday memories and capture the fun at one of our sELFie Stations. Snap a pic & post to #Downtown_CS on Instagram or #DowntownColoradoSprings on Facebook.

More than a dozen of Santa’s scout elves are making a special trip to Downtown Colorado Springs for three days only. The elves will land on December 5th during the Downtown Holiday Stroll. Find them hiding throughout Downtown stores, galleries, and restaurants before their final return to the North Pole on December 8th.

Children of all ages are invited to pick up an Elf on a Shelf Scavenger Hunt Pass at any of the participating businesses to help guide them through the adventure. Be sure to look high and low, these crafty little elves can be just a bit mischievous sometimes and they are great at hiding! After the hunt is complete, return your pass by December 8th to any of the participating retailers to be entered to win one of two $50 Downtown gift cards, good at over 100 Downtown stores/restaurants. (Check back, we’ll have a list of participating locations posted before Dec 5.)

Find one of our Holiday sELFie Stations and document your journey!

About The Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Tradition is a magical story about how Santa’s scout elves help him manage his naughty or nice lists. Once a scout elf is adopted and named, the elf receives its Christmas magic and can fly to the North Pole each night to tell Santa about the day’s adventures. Each morning the scout elf returns to its family and perches in a different place to watch the festive fun, creating a unique family moment. Children love to race around the house and see where their scout elf has landed.

Selfies with Santa

December 23, noon-2pm

Santa will be strolling through Downtown – with a Polaroid camera – as he gathers up last-minute gifts and makes a few edits to his “naughty and nice” lists. Be sure to grab a selfie and your keep-sake instant photo while he’s out and about!

Plus, enjoy hot wassail at the northwest corner of Bijou/Tejon (while supplies last).
