APRIL 22 UPDATE
Future patio space (we call “flex space”) between Colorado Avenue and the west inlet to AdAmAn Alley is complete. This 9.5-foot-wide swatch of concrete with the window pane texture will be the short-term path for pedestrians (no metal bridges for a while here) until the new 10-foot concrete sidewalks get poured. Then the window pane concrete will get new railings and become roomy patios for Red Gravy, Jack Quinn’s and Chipotle/Hibbard Building. This extra space is just a teaser for the gorgeous new 10-foot sidewalks coming soon.
A Home for the Trees
Coming next week, crews will remain south of the alley to install the special underground “cells,” or roomy underground spaces that will nurture the new trees. Expect some more showy earthmoving in the process, but it’s all for a good purpose — a leafy canopy for Tejon.
Curb and Gutter Progress
Curb and gutter play a critical role as a primary method to collect and channel rain or snowmelt into our stormwater system. It is is almost complete from Colorado Avenue to AdAmAn Alley. From our system, water ultimately goes back to the stream.
