On October 2nd and 3rd, every 8th grader in D11 will step into our downtown streets for Chalktober: From Class to Concrete. Thanks to our partnership with Downtown Colorado Springs, sidewalks will become canvases, creativity will meet community, and learning will spill into the spaces where our students live and dream.
You can experience Chalktober in two ways:
- October 2nd & 3rd:Â Watch students chalk the sidewalks throughout downtown.
- October 3rd, First Friday:Â Enjoy their completed art as part of the downtown First Friday Art Walk.
This is more than an art event—it is a demonstration of what happens when our schools, city, and business community come together to create opportunities that inspire.
